Even though earlier versions had been produced, the 1993 Hasbro version of this electric oven was one of the decade’s best-selling holiday toys. Equipped with cake mixes and pans, the Easy-Bake Oven allowed children to experiment with baking and cooking.

 

 

 

 

 

Tamagotchis were handheld digital pets and one of the biggest toy fads of the ‘90s. This electronic gadget depended upon their “owners” to keep them alive through different phases of life.

Nintendo Wii Dance Dance Revolution

 

 

 

 

 

 

This gaming console was released by Nintendo in 2006 and quickly became one of the fastest-selling electronic toys. The Wii was innovative in connecting a handheld device with the console to detect real-time movement in 3-D.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This electronic music video game was a smash hit in the ‘00s. Players stood on a dance platform and stepped on lit-up arrows to musical and visual cues. The winner was the dancer who completed the patterns with the greatest accuracy.
