SPARE EQUIPMENT SAVES LIVES

Individual companies own hundreds of spare transformers and other equipment, which they regularly share with each other through mutual assistance programs to restore power as needed.

A COORDINATED RECOVERY

Through the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council (ESCC), electric companies coordinate with government partners at the Department of Energy, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Security Council to ensure seamless restoration efforts.
